A plea has been lodged in the Supreme Court which wants to urge the Centre to Union Government, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) along with the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) to take the call of cancelling the CBSE and ICSE examinations for class XII.
With a letter issued on April 14, CBSE declared cancellation of board exams of Class X and had further postponed the examination for Class XII. Likewise, CISCE in the circulars issued on April 16 and 19 declared cancellation of examination for class X and delay for class XII examinations.
The plea filed is to appeal the court to keep aside the CBSE and CISCE notifications dated April 14, 16 and 19, 2021 regarding the clauses dealing with postponing examination for class XII examinations. Advocate Mamta Sharma filed the petition urging the court to curate an objective methodology about announcing the result within a limited time period.
