The Karnataka State Congress Party in order to support the protesting farmers along the borders of New Delhi regarding the amendments in the farm laws will be having ‘Raj Bhavan Chalo’ on January 20 in Bengaluru.
D K Shivakumar, President, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) said, “A massive protest rally will be taken from Freedom Park to Raj Bhavan, in which Congress leaders and workers from across the State will participate.”
Shivakumar declared the same post the inauguration of ‘Sankalp Samvesh’ in which was conducted by KPCC, in Hubbali on Monday. He iterated on 2021 to be the year of organization and struggle for the Congress party in the state.
The applications for the aspirants of Congress ticket for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat and taluk panchayat along with municipal corporation elections were invited over issuing B forms directly. He further added the organizational skills, experience and other abilities of the aspirants would be taken into consideration at the time of giving the party ticket.
Siddaramaiah had earlier mentioned about how BS Yediyurappa would not be able to continue as the chief minister. He said to media, “I am saying so based on the information given by my friends in BJP and RSS.”
He further claimed that BJP has come to power in Karnataka by spending money and not due to people’s mandate, so they would prefer changing the chief minister over losing the government.
Siddaramaiah iterated about the 10 per cent commission government when Congress was at power in the state, whereas, the BJP government current at power in the state has become 30 per cent commission government, whilst no files are transferred without money. He questioned whether the Prime Minister cannot observe the same or is silent even after knowing it.
