Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the ‘Dikshant Parade’ of the passing out batch of Indian Police Services (IPS) officers from the renowned Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad on Friday.
During the virtual address to the IFS probationers, Modi discussed about various challenges encountered by the men and women in khaki. He mentioned that the humane side of the police force was at the forefront amid the crisis induced by Covid- 19.
PM Modi particularly emphasized that the police officers be aware about developing relations with public representatives and that governance is more effective when officers tap the strength of the society. The virtual address of PM was directed to 131 probationers which included 28 women.
While addressing the officers, PM spoke about professional stress stating that people from all professions were under a lot of stress these days and that yoga and pranayama would be beneficial to relieve the stress. Modi also answered about the Kashmir issue talking about their amazing strength, and the amazing shawls weaved by them. He specifically pointed the superb job the lady officers can do to bring the strayed children back and explain their mothers.
