Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the autobiography of late Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, who has served multiple times as MP of Lok Sabha in an event on Tuesday.
The autobiography, named as “Deh Vechava Karani” is about dedicating and devoting one’s life for a noble cause and objective. Addressing the launch event, PM Modi emphasized on the stories of his life which are living throughout parts of Maharashtra, his home state. PM Modi said, “Balasaheb’s work for the progress of poor, efforts towards education and success of cooperative in Maharashtra will inspire generations to come.”
“Balasaheb always stressed on how politics can be used for meaningful change of the society and how to resolve issues of the poor. This is what separated him from others,” Modi further added.
Modi mentioned about the motto of Dr. Patil’s life, to improve the lives of the people through his politics. Modi also honored him for bringing the farmers together and resolving their issues.
Alongside the autobiography release, PM Modi also took a chance to alert the state of Maharashtra regarding the Coronavirus, stating, “The danger of coronavirus still persists. In Maharashtra, the situation is a little more worrying. I appeal to all, don’t be careless about wearing masks and social distancing. Remember jab tak davai nahin, tab tak dhilai nahin (no laxity till a medicine is available).”
In the virtual ceremony, Modi also added the name ‘Loknete Dr Balasaheb Vikhe Patil Pravara Rural Education Society’ to the originally known as Pravara Rural Education Society, which was set-up to cater to the education needs of the rural masses and to empower girl child. The virtual release was also attended by present chief minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, former chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis and state BJP chief Chandrakant Patil.
