PM Narendra Modi suggests the citizens to consider adopting dogs of Indian breed

While addressing the nation on ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the proficiency and expertise of dogs with Indian breed. He recommended a few breeds, “Among..Indian breeds, Mudhol Hound and Himachali Hound are of excellent pedigree. Rajapalayam, Kanni, Chippiparai and Kombai are fabulous Indian breeds.”

Emphasizing on the adaptability of the Indian breed, he said, “The cost of their upkeep is also quite less and they are also accustomed to Indian conditions. Now our security forces have also inducted and trained Indian breed dogs I their dog squads”

“The next time you think of raising a pet dog, consider bringing home one of these breeds” he conclusively stated.
