Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa declared a compensation of Rs. 25,000 for the families severely hit by the torrential downpour and floods in Bengaluru, which stranded the families and their houses.

In an address to the journalists, Yediyurappa said, “It has been decided to provide Rs 25,000 to every family that has suffered losses due to the heavy rainfall and flooding. This will cover their immediate needs of clothing, food and other essentials.”
Yediyurappa further discussed about what steps to be taken with the officials regarding the further emerging situations. It has been anticipated that the city will witness heavy rainfall for the upcoming two days.
Yediyurappa added, “I’ve directed officials to take action towards a permanent solution and they’re working on that.”
