Union Home Minister Amit Shah discussed with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bagel on Sunday regarding the encounter which happened between the security forces and the Naxalites around Bijapur district’s Tarrem. Shah also urged the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to visit Chhattisgarh and take charge of the present condition.
Kuldiep Singh, followed the orders and reached Chhattisgarh in the morning and reviewed the operational work.
As many as 21 security personnel have not been found post the encounter with the Naxals, and seven of those mission belong to CRPF.
Amit Shah expressed his grief and condolences for the five jawans who died amid the encounter between the security forces and Naxalites around Tarrem, which is located in the Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh.
Shah wrote on Twitter, “I bow to the sacrifices of our brave security personnel martyred during the fight with the Maoists in Chhattisgarh. Nation will never forget their valour. My condolences are with the families. We will continue our fight against these enemies of peace and progress. May the injured recover soon.”
During the encounter incident on Saturday in Bijapur, five security personnel lost their lives and nearly 30 had sustained injuries, as per the reports given by Chhattisgarh police.
