BBMP confirms providing compensation to flood affected victims

After investigating the flood-affected regions, BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad has confirmed that the flood victims will be provided with compensation and are asked to address their joint commissioners.

Prasad had assessed the Dasarahalli area, particularly the Nelagadaranahalli’s storm water drain. Water has overflown through the narrow drains and 1,000 houses and roads are affected due to the floods. He instructed the officials to finish the SWD work as soon as possible and clear out the enroachment post surveying the regions. The residents were asking the authorities to widen the road and desilt the drain as the narrow road has let the entry of the rainwater in their houses.
