With the objective of developing transparency regarding the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s (BBMP) management and administration, the Commissioner and Administrator on Saturday introduced a restored website which will be updated with the information and records of all the projects undertaken from 2015 for the reference of the residents.
BBMP Administrator, Gaurav Shukla, who started his tenure on September 11, stated that there was a dire need for being more proactive and also provide increased accessibility for the citizens which can be initiated by updating the data on the Palike website. BBMP Commissioner, N Manjunatha Prasad had also assured for enhanced transparency after taking charge of the post.
All the details about the different projects undertaken by BBMP from June 2015 have been updated on the revamped website.
While addressing the issue with the reporters, Manjunath Prasad stated the intricate details about the schemes and projects which includes the work orders, information about the contractors, expenditure, project status, the reasons why the project got delayed, along with the book measurements and photographic documentation have been disclosed on the website.
The city residents can glance through the website and also give any suggestions, or provide any corrections or even comment on them by approaching the BBMP authorities. Also, the information can be easily accessed by the users according to the organized wards, which is inclusive of the committee meetings.
Manjunath Prasad iterated the website will be constantly updated for the citizens to have a regular access to current information and on-going work.
