In a road accident that happened on Bellali road on January 31 in the early hours of the night, four youth have been killed. The car slammed into the back of a concrete mixer lorry in the vicinity of Bengaluru’s Chikkajala, leading to a severe accident.
As per the statement issued by the police officials, the four youth involved in the incident were Madhusudhan (26), Milan Raj (19), P Shivashankar (26) and M Anusha (22), who were the local residnets of Bagalur, which is located in northern Bengaluru. Three of them died on-spot, whilst Anusha lost died after admission to Columbia Asia Hospital in the city.
A case was filed against the lorry driver and Madhusudhan under Indian Penal Code (IPC) 279 which cites for punishing a person who has driven recklessly or has negligently endangered others), 304 (A) (to invoke death due to a reckless act, not amounting to homicide) and also clause 134 (non-compliance as per the regulations pertaining to motor accident) adhering to the Motor Vehicle Act.
The statement stated, “A case has been registered against the lorry driver and Madhusudhan based on the complaint by a resident of Satanur village, SK Channegowda at the nearby Traffic Police station. The case is being investigated by Joint Commissioner of Police B R Ravanekanta Gowda, Deputy Commissioner of Traffic North Division Sajith VJ and Assistant Commissioner of Police Northeast Sub-division and the local inspector.”
As per inspector Muralidhar P of Chikkajala Traffic Police Station, the investigative officer of the case, according to the claims given by Channegowda against the lorry driver will be initiated on Monday. He added that the relative who is supposedly the deceased’s uncle registered the case after learning the details of the scene.
