China strongly opposes India’s move to ban 118 more Chinese mobile apps

China’s Commerce ministry stated on Thursday that it strongly opposes the latest
India induced by India on Chinese mobile apps. The Commerce Ministry
spokesperson Gao Feng mentioned in a briefing that Indian actions are violating the
legal interests of Chinese investors and service providers and that China has asked
India to correct its mistakes.
India has announced a ban on another set of 118 apps which includes popular video
game PUBG with data security reasons. India ranks first in the world regarding PUBG
downloads with around 175 million installs. India had earlier banned 59 apps which
included TikTok, WeChat, UC Browser in June.
The move, referred, as ‘digital strike’ has stalled business operations of various
Chinese companies.
