Mandya: Allegations of corruption have once again surfaced in the Mandya Excise Department. Reports suggest that obtaining a bar license requires payment of hefty bribes, with applications being rejected despite proper documentation if the bribe is not paid.
Congress worker Puneeth has complained with Mandya Lokayukta against Excise DC Ravishankar and Maddur Excise Inspector Shivashankar. He has submitted audio and video evidence to support his claim that these officials demanded bribes for issuing CL-7 bar licenses.
