Government hears the pleas of govt doctor turned rickshaw driver

A 53-year old government doctor, Dr. Ravindranath MH, worked as a reproductive and child health (R CH) care officer retorted to driving auto-rickshaws for living due to conflicts with IAS officers.

His critical condition was reported by media a few days ago. Dr. Ravindranath mentioned that his troubles increased after he refused to help an IAS officer. He had filed a contempt petition and his hearing was scheduled for Friday (September 11). Just a day before the hearing, his requests for transfer have been met. Minister of Health and Family Welfare & Backward Classes Welfare for Karnataka, B Sriramulu has acknowledged the government doctor’s problems and resolved the transfer requests.


In a series of tweets, Sriramulu has written, “District R CH Officer Dr. The media reports that MH Rabindranath was driving an auto for life maintenance in Davanagere was heard by senior officials”


“Similarly after reviewing the report, Rabindranath has been appointed Koppal district health and family welfare officer. Our government is committed to protecting the interests of all doctors who work hard

His condition had worsened in the past 2 years, where his 15 months salary was unpaid. Moreover, he was incessantly harassed by the Zilla Panchayat CEO and then ultimately suspended on June 6. His constant requests about transfer to a district-level
