Low-lying regions in the city of Bengaluru are at a high risk of being flooded on November 25 and 26 as anticipated by the heavy rainfall due to the triggers by the Bay of Bengal, which will intensely cuminate into cyclonic storm on Tuesday.
The South Interior Karnataka districts have got a yellow alert by the Indian Meteorological Department for November 25 and 26. The regions may get light to heavy rainfall, showers with heavy rainfall have also been forecast for Bengaluru Urban and Rural, Kolar, Mysuru, Mandya, Ramanagara, and Tumkuru districts.
In an interview with Deccan Herald, C S Patil, director, IMD Bengaluru told the flooding might occur in low-lying areas of Bengaluru which will be triggered by heavy rainfall in different parts of the city.
He added that the cyclonic storms might cause thundershowers in few regions, and the parts of the city will have widespread rainfall till Saturday, post which the cyclonic storm will slow down.
