Indian Air Force chief RKS Bhadauria visited Leh with the objective of reviewing the operational preparedness of the force allotted there, alongside which Chinese forces are having underway rigorous training opposite eastern Ladakh.

The sources revealed the chief was informed about the air maintenance operations backing up the Indian Army and the paramilitary troops.

There are two major bases in Leh and Thoise of the Air Force that aid in supervising the Indo-China and Indo-Pakistan border regions. There are troops placed at the forward locations across the eastern Ladakh sector which extends to Nyoma advanced landing ground and Daulat Beg Oldi-based airfield.

The Chinese Army and Airforce are having training camps in the vicinity of the locations from where they diverted troops to the Indian front last year. The Rafale combat aircraft has been frequently deployed with MiG-29 fighters which have been placed there for a long time.
