India launched its most recent earth observation satellite EOS-01 and along with that nine other satellites successfully on board its polar rocket from the spaceport based in Sriharikota on Saturday.
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C49) ascended upwards from the initial launch pad based at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at 3.12 PM, which happened at the end of a 26 hour countdown and then pushed the satellites into the orbit one after another post 20 minutes time frame.
ISRO revealed that the lift off was first scheduled for 3.02 PM, and got prolonged by 10 minutes because of the debris present on the path of the vehicle.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully completed its first mission in 2020. The satellite EOS-01 is instituted with the objective of its wide scope applications in the field of agriculture, forestry and disaster management, said ISRO.
The nine other satellites, here customer satellites are from three different countries, which bifurcates as one from Lithuania, four from Luxemborg and four from USA
