Indian Coast Guard’s (ICG) Ship C-452 is scheduled for commissioning by Rajan Bargotra, the Additional Director General (western Seaboard) on Tuesday (today) in a virtual video-conferencing from Ratanagiri, Maharashtra.
Larsen & Turbo, based in Surat primitively structured, designed and built the ship, particularly abiding by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
ICG confirmed the news by posting on Twitter, “India Coast Guard ship C-452, indigenously designed and built by M/s L&T #Surat in lines with PM’s vision @makeinindia and #AatmaNirbharBharat, will be commissioned through video conference today #Ratnagiri by ADG Rajan Bargotra, CGC (WS).”
Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Sachet along with a couple of interceptor boats (IBs) C-450 and C-451 were commissioned by Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh in Goa, earlier, in May.
The company, Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) had indigenously structured, designed and constructed the ICGS Sachet, who made its debut from the series of five offshore patrol vessels (OPVs). ICGS Sachet is well-equipped with state of art navigation and communication instruments.
