External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar conducted a meeting with Indian envoys representing Gulf countries UAE, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar and had a discussion about the welfare of Indian community and trade prospects in these nations.
Jaishankar took to Twitter to share about the ‘fruitful’ experience while meeting the envoys of the Gulf Nations during his visit to Kuwait. Their discussion was about interceding for the early return of Indian talent along with skills that evaded away from the Gulf amid the pandemic.
He tweeted, “Chaired a fruitful meeting of Indian Ambassadors in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain today. Discussions focused on: 1. Ensuring utmost welfare of the Indian community in respective jurisdictions.”
He added, “Facilitating reuniting of families separated by Covid disruption. 3. Interceding for early return of Indian talent and skills who left the Gulf during the pandemic. 4. Encouraging speedy resumption of flights to Gulf destinations to help NRIs.”
Jaishankar is on a three-day visit to Kuwait as a part of his bilateral visit.
