Kannada cinema drug racket case: CCB arrests actress Sanjjanaa Galrani

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials raided actress Sanjjanaa Galrani’s Indiranagar residence on Tuesday for continuing investigations with alleged drug racket connected to the Kannada film industry. The CCB officials arrested her after a four and half hour search through her apartment.

The drug scandal case is registered at the Cottonpet police station. The actress will be produced in the court and the officials will seek her police custody from the court.

Sanjjanaa’s apartment was raided based on the information given by drug peddler Rahul Shetty, who is presently in CCB custody. The raid was initiated in the wee hours of morning and officials have recovered and other material from her apartment which will be subjected to further verification.

The CCB officials have also investigated the residence of Viren Khanna, who was the alleged drugs supplier to his clients obtained by his event management company.
