The Left political parties were protesting along with the farmers unions supporting the Bharat Bandh in Parvathipuram of Vizianagaram district against the three farm laws passed by the Central Government.
The agitating farmers had organized a rally from RTC Junction to the main road of the town synchronizing with the Bharat Band, which was also supported by the Trade Unions.
The Left parties participated in the Bharat Bandh along with SFI in Visakhapatnam, where the protests were raising their voices with slogans chant against the Central Government. The protests were first commenced along the National Highway NH16, which is the connecting route between Kolkata to Chennai. Alongside, the women protesters routed to playing Kabaddi at Maddilapalem junction on National Highway 16, a move to support the farmers.
Farmer Unions on Friday took a call to aggravate their protests and inched to ‘Bharat Bandh’ for today which is a way of expressing their dissatisfaction regarding amendments for agricultural legislation.
Traffic movement affected in Delhi
Meanwhile, farmers continue their protest in Delhi along not just Singhu Border but also Auchandi, Piao Maniyari, Mangesh, Tikri, Dhansa and Jharoda, which have been blocked due to all kinds of the traffic movement. The police force has been urging the citizens to opt for alternative routes apart from these borders.
They further mentioned, the routes open are Daurala, Kapashera, Badusarai, Rajokri NH-8, Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam Vihar and Dundahera Borders connecing Delhi ad Haryana.
The travel advisory by Haryana Police stated, “It is expected that agitating groups may sit on dharna on various roads and highways, within Haryana and block them for some time. The peak time of impact is expected to be between noon and 3 pm. There may be some disruptions on various toll plazas in the state. The major highways, Delhi-Ambala (NH-44), Delhi-Hisar (NH-9), Delhi-Palwal (NH-19) and Delhi Rewari (NH-48) may also see some traffic disruptions for a short time.”
