Over 2.45 crore beneficiaries have done their registration on the digital platform Co-WIN prior to beginning of the third phase of the vaccination drive scheduled for May 1 for those who are 18 years and above, according to the Ministry of Health.
On April 28, over 1.37 crore registered and more than 1.04 crore have registered on the platform till April 29. Alongside, the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has surpassed 15.22 crore as of Friday. In the last 24 hours, over 21 lakh vaccine doses have been administered.
According to the health ministry data, 15,22,45,179 doses have been administered in the count of 22,43,097 sessions, following the provisional report till 7 am today. For the Day 104 of the vaccination drive, 22,24,548, vaccine doses have been administered and 12,74,803 beneficiaries have been vaccinated throughout 21,810 sessions for the first dose and 9,49,745 beneficiaries have been given the second dose.
The ministry stated, “These include 93,86,904 HCWs who have taken the 1st dose and 61,91,118 HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose, 1,24,19,965 FLWs (1st dose), 67,07,862 FLWs (2nd dose), 5,19,01,218 1st dose beneficiaries and 1,04,41,359 2nd dose beneficiaries more than 60 years old and 5,17,78,842 (1st dose) and 34,17,911 (2nd dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.”
A total of 10 states hold 67.08 per cent of the overall vaccine doses administered in the country as of now. Further on, the Ministry said over 19 lakh tests were carried out over the previous 24 hours, taking it as a record for the highest single day tests conducted in a day.
