Karnataka is all geared up to introduce helicopter tourism in several parts of the Karnataka, starting from Mysuru. The helicopters will be connecting tourists with the nearby states and will be at an economical rate, revealed the officials.

While addressing the media on Tuesday, Karnataka Tourism Minister CP Yogeeshwara spoke that tourism in the state will be structured through lines of Gujarat and helicopter tourism will be introduced in Mysuru as soon as possible, along with several other regions of the state, which includes Belagavi, Bengaluru, and Kalaburagi.

As per the minister, helicopter tourism in Mysuru has been a long-cherished dream. Yogeeshwara added, “The departments concerned have been directed to make arrangements to develop a helicopter terminal in Mysuru. These rides will be offered at affordable costs.”

The officials propose to out forth the hospitality sector in Mysuru, particularly hotels, which is under the industrial sector from the current business sector, for further extending the government benefits. He said, “This will also give a boost to the tourism industry.” He indicated that high rate of inter state road tax, when contrast with neighbouring states, is an obstacle to the development of Mysuru’s tourism. The Minister mentioned that for resolving the problem, ‘one nation – one tax” will be implemented. The Minister Yogeeshwara iterated on the priority for developing tourism in the state and “not the government that conceived it.”
