The authorities in Arunachal Pradesh have still not received any updates or information about the five men who were allegedly abducted by China’s People’s Liberation Party (PLA) troops. The abduction happened on Thursday from Upper Subansiri district.
After the reports about abduction emerged on social media, the government authorities have sent a police team to verify the information about the five missing men. The authorities have not given any confirmation about the abduction incident. Taru Gussar, superintendent of police from the area told Hindustan Times, “The incident might have occurred, but we have not received any complaint about the disappearance of the men from any of their family members. We know about the incident only through local sources.”
This information was first posted on social media by Prakash Ringling on Friday who is a brother of one of the missing people. It was reported that the five missing men worked as porters for the Indian Army. Prakash informed that the men were allegedly abducted at Sera – 7, right at the India – China border. The missing men are identified as Tanu Bakar, Prasad Ringling, Ngaru Diri, Dongtu Ebiya and Toch Singkam.
The details about the missing men were posted on social media also by BJP’s Tapir Gao, who is a Lok Sabha representative from Arunachal East constituency.
