Parliament session adjourned till tomorrow amid Opposition’s ruckus over hike in fuel prices

The Parliament Session held on Tuesday has been adjourned till March 10 due to the persistent uproar of the members of the Opposition parties in both the Houses over the hike in the fuel prices. Both the Houses have been adjourned and will meet subsequently on Wednesday morning at 11 am.

Both the Houses of the Parliament were adjourned till 2 pm on Tuesday post the constant pandemonium invoked by the Opposition party members over the issue of rising fuel prices which happened earlier today.

The Parliament sessions have been subjected to continued adjournments post the prevalent disturbance invoked by the Opposition citing the fuel prices issue.

The Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh said, “During the remaining part of the Budget Session, members will be seated in Rajya Sabha chambers and its gallery, with some physical distancing. 142 seats have been made available in Rajya Sabha chamber and remaining members to sit in the gallery.”

The decision about the updated timings for both the Houses was declared on Monday. Both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha were operational under curtailed hours of timing with social distancing norms during Covid-19 induced norms. The second part of the Budget Session of Parliament started from Monday with stringent adherence to all the Ciovid-19 rules and regulations.
