PM Modi says, we must keep humanism at core of our policies at India-Japan Samwad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that keeping humanism at the core of our policies further saying that the discussions with respect to global growth can not be restricted to a few wanting a bigger table and broader agendas.

While addressing the India-Japan Samwad, PM Modi said, “Discussions on global growth cannot happen only between a few. The table must be bigger. The agenda must be broader. Growth patterns must follow a human centric approach. And, be in harmony with our surroundings.”

Modi further added, “In the past, humanity often took the oath of confrontation instead of collaboration. From Imperialism to World Wars. From the arms race to the space race. We had dialogues but they were aimed at pulling others down. Now, let us rise together… We must keep humanism at the core of our policies. We must keep harmonious co-existence with nature as the central pillar of our existence.”

PM Modi, at the beginning of his speech, presented a proposal for building a library for archiving the Buddhist literature, stating that the library will be a platform for research and dialogue.
