Protesting farmers promise ‘Kisan Gantantra Parade’ to be peaceful

The farmers protesting along the borders of New Delhi on Sunday promised that the tractor rallies on January 26, for marking the ‘Kisan Gantantra Parade’.

Tajinder Singh, a farmer protesting along the Delhi – Haryana border, said, “We feel elated that the police gave us permission to hold tractor rallies on January 26. This will chance of a clash between both parties. There are around 2.5 lakh tractors at Tikri border.”

Gurpreet, the other farmer iterated the same, “We will peacefully take out the tractor march and do the roadshow. Delhi Police will also be present at the place.”

Farmers from different parts of the country have been marching towards the borders of New Delhi to participate in the proposed rally. Farmers have been protesting along the borders of New Delhi for 60 consecutive days now and tractors for Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan are reaching the Tikri border.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has appealed the farmers to take part in the agitation during January 23 – January 26, which also extends the rallies to the Governors of the states. The farmers also arrived at the Singhu border as per their plan to conduct rally on the outer ring road of Delhi.

Farmers have been protesting along the borders of New Delhi from different parts of the country since November 26 demanding the government to revoke the three laws passed in September.
