PUBG to be relaunched in India?

Spread the love

PUBG Corporation, a part of South Korean company which drives the operations of  PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), will no longer allow Tencent Games the rights or access to publish the game in India, said a blog.

The announcement by PUBG Corporation comes a week after India had taken a move to ban 118 Chinese apps to raise pressure on China regarding border issues.

“Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities in the country,” the South Korean company said. The company is exploring different options to provide gaming experience to Indian users.

Though, there is no exact clarity about Indian authorities revoking the ban. Tencent, who ran PUBG for India, has given a confirmation about PUBG Corp taking the responsibilities of Indian publishing. “Our existing cooperation with PUBG Corporation in global markets other than India is not affected.” Tencent added.
