A count from 10 – 20 protesters were arrested on the charges of breaking out violence and injuring several police officers with the rage of obstructing anti-Muslim Danish politician from being a part of the rally organized for burning the holy book of Islam. Around 300 people were involved in the violence that lasted till late Friday evening on the streets of Malmo. The protesters were released on Saturday as the violence came to an end.

Malmo Police cited Paludan’s 2-year ban from entering Sweden and anticipating trouble in the society for his denial of entry. His supporters went ahead with the rally near a predominantly migrant neighbourhood and three were arrested.

As a reaction to the rally, the Protesters threw stones at the police and burnt tyres on late Friday, authorities said.
