Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday revealed Sputnik V manufacturers have agreed to supply vaccines to New Delhi. But, the actual quantity of vaccines is yet to be determined.

While briefing the media, Delhi CM said, “Talks are on with them (Sputnik V makers). Their people had a meeting with our offices yesterday. Talks are underway as to what quantity of vaccines will they provide us.”

Arvind Kejriwal in collaboration with Aakash healthcare did the inauguration of a drive-in Covid-19 vaccination centre at Dwarka’s Vegas mall. Kejriwal also mentioned a government-based vaccination centre to be started at Chhatrasal on Friday.

Regarding the vaccines by Moderna and Pfizer, Kejriwal said both are suitable for the children and the Centre should procure them for vaccination of kids.

About the ongoing lockdown, he said to the media, “We can’t extend lockdown forever. There will be a gradual lifting of the lockdown in the national capital and called for ramping up vaccination on a war footing.”

While addressing the topic of black fungus, Kejriwal said, “There were around 620 cases of black fungus or mucormycosis in the city. But there is a shortage of Amphotericin-B injections used in its treatment. We need 3,500 injections but we are just getting 400 doses daily.”
