7th-Grade Student Dies Tragically After Balloon Gets Stuck in Throat

Karwar: A tragic incident occurred in Jogankoppa village of Haliyal taluk, Uttara Kannada district, where a 13-year-old boy suffocated to death after a balloon got stuck in his throat while playing at home.

The deceased student has been identified as Naveen Narayan Belagavkar (13). He was a 7th-grade student at the government primary school in Jogankoppa village. While playing at home, Naveen tried to blow up a balloon, which accidentally slipped into his mouth and got lodged in his throat.
