Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be introducing the property cards under the Survey of Villages and Mapping With Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) scheme on Sunday. The distribution of the cards will commence from 11 am. The cards consists of hard copies having property titles of the villagers’ home and surrounding areas owned by them.
Introduced by PM Modi in April, the SVAMITVA scheme empowers the rural masses to make use of their property as a financial asset, as per the official statement given by the Prime Minister’s Office on Friday.
Around 132,000 landowners will be circulated the physical cards in the event. PM Modi will also have interaction with the beneficiaries and Union Minister for Panchayati Raj, Narendra Singh Tomar will be attending the event.
As per the data given by PMO, the beneficiaries will be from 763 villages, which includes a count of 346 from Uttar Pradesh, 221 from Haryana, 100 from Maharashtra, 44 from Madhya Pradesh, 50 from Uttarakhand and 2 from Karnataka.
The PMO statement stated that beneficiaries from all states but Maharashtra will be handed over the hard copies in a period of one day but as the western state has a structure of reviving the elementary cost, it will be prolonged by a month.
This scheme will benefit a millions of rural property owners involving modern technology.
