Centre and states need to collaborate and work together to boost economic growth says PM Modi at NITI Aayog meet

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday strongly advocated for revoking the archaic laws structure, which will lead to ease of doing business in the country iterating on the fact that the states and the Centre need to collaborate and work closely for boosting the economic growth.

While speaking at the Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, Modi mentioned that the private sector must be given complete opportunities to participate in Aatmanirbhar Bharat programme organized by the Government.

Modi said, “Centre and states should work together for the nation’s progress… Government has to respect and give due representation to the private sector for economic progress.”

The Prime Minister said the people in the country have a given a very positive response for the Union Budget 2021-22 which is an indication that the country is taking the step towards path of development at a greater speed.

Modi mentioned about the initiatives to be taken are a plethora of opportunities for every citizen to be a part of nation building at its fullest.

While addressing the farm sector, PM Modi said that efforts will be taken to produce agriculture items such as edible oil and then cut down on imports. He said, “This can be done by guiding farmers,” further adding the money can be directly accounted to the farmers over the imports.

PM Modi also emphasized on the requirement of cutting down the compliance burden on people and then directed the states to formulate committees to cut down on the regulations which are no longer holding any relevance considering the present scenario with advent of technology.
