Winter Session of Parliament Begins Today: Government Ready to Present 16 Bills, Including ‘Waqf Amendment’

New Delhi: The Winter Session of Parliament, scheduled from November 25 to December 20, commences today. The government is set to present 16 significant bills during this session. To mark the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, a special event will be held in the Central Hall of Parliament on November 26, celebrated as Constitution Day, according to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju.

The government plans to introduce several important and controversial bills, including the “One Nation, One Election” framework and amendments to the Waqf Property Act. These proposals are expected to escalate political tensions within Parliament.
