Ballari: Five maternal deaths have been reported at the Ballari District Hospital (BIMS) following the administration of IV fluids. On November 9, nine women underwent cesarean deliveries, and within two hours of receiving IV fluids post-delivery, all of them fell critically ill.
The deceased mothers have been identified as Nandini, Lalithamma, Roja, Muskan, and Sumaiya. The remaining four women have recovered and been discharged.
