Class 6 Student Dies After Fight Among Schoolmates in Delhi

New Delhi: A shocking incident unfolded at a private school in Delhi, where a fight among students resulted in the death of a 12-year-old Class 6 student. The police are investigating the case.

Following the incident, the police detained a classmate of the deceased. According to police sources, some students allegedly hit the victim on his shoulder during the altercation, leading to his death. CCTV footage from the school has been retrieved, and a detailed investigation is underway.

Protests Erupt Outside School
The victim, identified as Rajkumar, a resident of Kudukmpur Hills in Vasant Vihar, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday after a minor scuffle with classmates. The incident triggered protests outside Chinmaya Vidyalaya, with hundreds gathering to demand justice.

CCTV Footage Reveals Incident
The police revealed that CCTV footage from the school showed a group of boys involved in a fight earlier that morning. “We have arrested a 12-year-old boy from the same class as the victim under Section 105 of the Indian Penal Code (offense akin to culpable homicide not amounting to murder),” a police official said. Victim’s Background
Rajkumar, who was admitted to Chinmaya Vidyalaya under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota, had recently turned 12 on November 3, according to his family members.
