Bengaluru: Former Team India cricketer Robin Uthappa has been issued an arrest warrant in connection with allegations of provident fund (PF) fraud involving his private company. The Regional PF Commissioner, Shadakshari Gopal Reddy, has written to the Pulakeshinagar police regarding the matter.
The arrest warrant, issued on October 4, instructs the Pulakeshinagar police to take necessary action since Uthappa resides in the area.
Details of the Allegation:
Robin Uthappa’s private company, Centuries Lifestyle Brand Private Limited, is accused of failing to deposit employees’ provident fund contributions. The company allegedly deducted PF amounts from employees’ salaries but did not transfer approximately ₹23 lakh to the respective PF accounts.
Further investigation is underway, and Uthappa has been summoned to appear before authorities to address the charges.
