Bengaluru: Actor Darshan, who was earlier imprisoned in the Renukaswamy murder case and later released on interim bail for medical treatment, has been admitted to the hospital again for continued treatment. Meanwhile, Darshan filed a bail plea in the High Court, which postponed the hearing until November 26.
In the murder case involving Renukaswamy, a native of Chitradurga, who was killed after allegedly sending obscene messages on social media to Darshan’s friend Pavitra Gowda, the actor was initially lodged in Parappana Agrahara Jail. Allegations of receiving special treatment there led to his transfer to the Ballari prison. Following his transfer, Darshan complained of severe back pain, and the High Court granted him interim bail for six weeks.
With the interim bail period nearing its end, Darshan approached the High Court again for an extension. During the hearing, Justice Vishwajith Shetty, presiding over a single-judge bench, deferred the bail plea hearing of Darshan and five other accused, including Pavitra Gowda, to November 26. Darshan’s legal team also submitted a fresh medical report to the court.READ THIS-Bill Collector Caught Red-Handed Accepting ₹40,000 Bribe in Mysuru
Despite being out on interim bail for three weeks, Darshan has not undergone any surgery for his back pain. He is currently admitted to BGS Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the police are reportedly preparing to approach the Supreme Court seeking the cancellation of his interim bail. The outcome of the November 26 hearing is awaited.
