CBI raids the D K Shivakumar’s residence, recovers Rs. 50 lakh in cash

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided multiple premises including the residence of Congress leader D K Shivakumar, his brother D K Suresh and other associates in an alleged corruption case.

ANI has reported that the investigation and raids were subjected at more than 15 premises, which includes their residence property of Doddalahalli, Kanakapura and Sadashiva nagar in Bengaluru.

According to the information given by the PTI officials, CBI has seized cash worth Rs. 50 lakh linked to the corruption case.

With reference to D K Shiavkumar’s involvement and CBI raids, Congress leader Randeep Singh Sujrewala posted on Twitter, “Let Modi & Yeddyurappa Govts & BJP’s frontal organizations i.e CBI-ED-Income Tax know that Congress workers & leaders will not be cowed down nor bow down before such devious attempts.”

He further added, “Our resolve to fight for people & expose BJP’s maladministration only becomes stronger.”

In the previous week, a businessman associated to D K Shivakumar, Iqbal Hussain, was interrogated by ED on the properties and business dealings of the Karnataka chief.
