Twitter declared on Friday about suspending the account of outgoing US President Donald Trump, giving the reason of the risks associated to further violence after the assault incident incited by the Trump’s supporters on the US Capitol.

Twitter posted in a blogspot about its decision saying, “After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account… we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”

Earlier, on Wednesday, deliberating on the recent tweets of Donald Trump post the attack on US Capitol, had suspended his account for a period of 12 hours and issued him a warning regarding permanent suspension if he consistently outreached the rules and norms.

On Thursday, as Trump got the access back, he posted a video message with the intent of calming down the tensions post the chaos and violence invoked by his supporters. He accepted the termination of his presidency and ensured a smooth transition to Joe Biden, although he did not express much about it.

Twitter was deliberating Trump’s tweets and the decision regarding his permanent suspension was taken after a couple of tweets posted by him on Friday. He wrote about how his supporters should not be disrespected and that he would not be present at Biden’s inauguration on January 20, which is customary.

Twitter stated, “These two Tweets must be read in the context of broader events in the country and the ways in which the President’s statements can be mobilized by different audiences, including to incite violence, as well as in the context of the pattern of behaviour from this account in recent weeks.”

Twitter termed his tweets had violated the ‘Glorification of Violence Policy’ and stated that ‘user @realDonaldTrump should be immediately permanently suspended from the service.’

Twitter gave a confirmation that several hundred of employees had signed a letter to chief executive Jack Dorsey iterating about how disturbing was the ‘insurrection’ invoked by Trump’s followers. A company spokesperson said, “Twitter encourages an open dialogue between our leadership and employees, and we welcome our employees to express their thoughts and concerns in whichever manner feels right to them.”
