Farmers protest continues, more tents installed at Singh border

Farmers protest along the Singhu border against the three farm laws passed by the Centre continues for 23rd day today, where farmers are preparing for cold weather conditions of Delhi by arrangements for cold water tents installation.

A farmer protester said, “We are preparing ourselves for a longer stay as our fight against black laws will continue. It’s getting colder, so we’re putting more tents.”

Dayal Singh, Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Punjab, said, “PM should talk to the farmers and take back the farm laws. We will not give up our fight against these laws.”

As the temperature of Delhi drops highly in winters, the protesters which also comprises of women, children and senior citizens are finding it hard to sustain in the chilly weather in the further days. The protesters are thereby making arrangements for having long tents along the Singhu border to have protection against the cold weather conditions.

“This agitation will go on for long, we have women, children and senior citizens with us so we are preparing a long tent to save them from this cold weather,” told Salwinder Singh, leader of thd farmers.

Alongside,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be speaking at the farmers’ conferences in Madhya Pradesh via the video conference mode.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Union Agricultural Minister Narendra Singh Tomar had addressed the ‘Kisan Sammelan’ conducted in Gwalior.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, appreciated Tomar for his attempt and efforts to have a dialogue with the farmers through an open letter on Thursday.

Hundreds of farmers are protesting against the farm laws passed by the Centre from November 26, along the various borders of Delhi demanding for repealing the laws.
