The Gujarat government has passed the decision to to cut down the fees of the private schools in the state by 25 per cent.
In a press release on Wednesday, the official statement of the government quoted, “Keeping in mind the guardians’ widespread representations, Gujarat Government today decided to provide a 25 per cent rebate in fees in all private schools, including CBSE, IB, ICSE, and CSE, in the larger interest of the people.”
Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma quoted, “The Council of Ministers took into consideration a series of government meetings with both school management and parents associations in the light of Gujarat High Court directives and rulings in the matter. And both parties agreed with the State Government.” The minister further acknowledged the schools who gave their approval for the cut down in fees by 25 per cent. Thereby, he reemphasized on the guardians to deposit 50 percent of their children’s school fee by October 31st, stating that the guardians who paid the complete fees will be compensated with the deduction amount.
