Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Tech Mahindra have collaborated together and signed a contract with an estimated worth of Rs. 400 crore in Bengaluru to enforce Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in HAL to assist the defence PSU’s “Project Parivartan.”
“Project Parivartan” is an extensive business transformation exercise commenced by HAL via technology enhancement and centralised ERP, as per R Madhavan, Chairman and Managing director of HAL.
The exercise will assist HAL to take up some of the leading practices followed by leading industries globally, R Madhavan said.
Sujit Bakshi, President Corporate Affairs and Business Head Emerging Markets, Tech Mahindra, revealed the project will be expecting to transform the ERP system to assist in catering to the Armed Forces in an effective manner. Sujit said, “This is in line with our TechMNxt charter that focuses on leveraging new generation technologies with original equipment manufacturers and aims to deliver an enhanced experience to our customers.”
He further added the project will bolster the government’s “Atmanirbhar” (self-reliant ) initiative to boost up indigenous capabilities. Tech Mahindra will be enforcing “Project Parivartan” for a period of 9 years worth Rs. 400 crore. The project will enable HAL to establish and standardise the business processes across the organisation. This is inclusive of a centralised ERP Turnkey Solution to fulfill the business needs with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) enforcement and Customer Relationship Management(CRM) along with select non-ERP applications.
