Bengaluru: With temperatures dropping across the country, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain in several states, including Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, over the next two days.
Delhi Weather:
In the national capital, Delhi, the maximum temperature on November 25 is expected to reach 28°C, while the minimum could drop to 12°C. Foggy conditions are likely during the morning and evening. Over the coming days, areas in Delhi-NCR, such as Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, may experience intensified cold.
Snowfall in Northern India:
Snowfall has begun in Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh, excluding parts of Jammu and Kashmir. On Sunday, snowfall was reported in Rohtang Pass and near the Atal Tunnel in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Similarly, areas like Gulmarg, Bandipora in Jammu and Kashmir, and Leh in Ladakh experienced snowfall, which is expected to continue on Monday.
States to Witness Dense Fog:
According to the IMD, eight states—Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi-NCR—are likely to witness dense fog.
Cold Wave in Central and Eastern India:
The cold is intensifying in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, with minimum temperatures dropping below 10°C in several districts.
Rain Forecast for Several States:
Heavy rain is forecast for Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh. Northeastern states, including Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura, are also expected to receive significant rainfall.
