Bengaluru, December 16: After a brief spell of cold weather, rains are set to make a strong comeback, with heavy rainfall predicted in several districts of Karnataka over the next 48 hours, according to the Meteorological Department.
Due to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, various parts of the state are likely to experience widespread rain. Bengaluru, in particular, will witness overcast skies throughout the day, with light rainfall in some areas during the morning. The intensity of the rain is expected to increase by the afternoon.
Districts Under Rainfall Alert:
Rain is likely in more than 20 districts, including Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, Raichur, Yadgir, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumakuru, and Vijayanagara, from now until December 18.
The Meteorological Department has urged farmers and the general public to remain cautious and take necessary precautions during this period of heavy rainfall.
