The senior military commanders from India as well as China have a meeting for the tenth round of Corps Commander-level talks which is in-process at the Chushul-Moldo border point, located in eastern Ladakh, as per the information given by ANI news agency.
The current round of talks is for discussing about disengagement strategies from other friction points which includes Gogra, Depsang plains and Hot Springs.
India and China have together taken a call to further proceed with the military commander level dialogue post the complete withdrawal of troops and machinery by the Indian Army and Chinese People’s Liberation Army from the southern and northern banks of the Panging Tso Lake, which stretches over 135 kilometre. This move finally terminates the disengagement process which was initiated on February 10. India and China have also conducted the verification process.
According to some sources, amid the talks on Saturday, India will have a higher inclination towards faster disengagement in the left over areas to reduce the existential tension in the region which has been hit with a very tense standoff between India and China over the past nine months.
