The Time Magazine’s 2020 ‘Person of the Year’ was named as US President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, as declared by the publication on Thursday.
The pair of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris was finalized from three other finalists which includes frontline health workers and Anthony Fauci, the racial justice movement, and also the current President of US, Donald Trump, who was defeated by Joe Biden in the US Presidential elections.

Biden emerged victorious over Trump by 306 electoral college votes, whereas, Trump received 232, thereby ending his Presidency with one tenure.
The Democratic candidate, Biden, received around seven million more votes than Donald Trump, who is yet to concede, and claims there is fraud in the vote counting part, for which no proofs have been validated.
The Time magazine’s award, is a ritual carried out annually right since 1927, where the person or people who have most impacted the news, amid the calendar year, for better or worse, are honored. Earlier on Thursday, LeBron James, basketball superstar, was featured as ‘Athlete of the Year’ honoring his achievements on and off court.
Greta Thunberg, a teenage climate change activist was awarded by Time Magazine in 2019, whereas President Donlad Trump was awarded in 2016.
