Karnataka govt doing good under Yediyurappa, says Arun Singh after visit

BJP’s National General Secretary in-charge of Karnataka Arun Singh said, “All our party workers, Minister and legislators are united, there are no differences of any kind,” adding that the Karnataka state government is doing an efficient job under the leadership of Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. The statement by Arun Singh comes at a time when there are rising speculations about the replacement of Yediyurappa.

When inquired about the change in leadership, Singh responded, “I have said what have to say on this, several times, there is no use of asking it again and again.” He had asserted recently about Yediyurappa continuing the tenure.

Singh urged the party legislators to make any media statements and address their concerns to the leaders directly. He said to the legislators, “Work in your constituency, work for your people and take the party work forward.”

During his three-day visit to Karnataka, Arun Singh will have meetings with all the ministers and has scheduled one-on-one meetings with the legislators and Ministers who are available. According to the party sources, Singh will be participating in the state BJP core committee meeting scheduled on June 18.

Singh revealed his priority during the visit will be to solely concentrate on the party’s political development, organizational work, and how to carry forward the proceedings. He said, “We will review the work that has happened as part of the ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ (service is organisation) programme, under which our workers, without caring for their lives, have done 11 kinds of seva (service) at the ground level, and see how we can take it forward.”
