Leopard Spotted in Tumakuru’s Siddaganga Mutt Premises: Creates Panic

Tumakuru: A leopard was spotted in the premises of Siddaganga Mutt in Kyatsandra, Tumakuru, on Saturday midnight. The animal’s movements were captured on CCTV cameras near the Smrithi Van area of the mutt around 11:30 PM.

The leopard was seen wandering near the premises, and after a dog barked at it, the animal fled the area. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, the mutt staff immediately informed the forest department. Forest officials inspected the area and set up a cage to capture the leopard.

Earlier on Saturday morning, the leopard was also seen roaming on T.P. Kailasam Road in the Saptagiri Layout area. Its movement was captured on CCTV cameras of a nearby house, further heightening concerns in the locality.
