The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is planning to restart services from September 7. This comes as a sigh of relief to the regular city commuters. The services will resume by following standard operating procedure given by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The proposed changes for Namma metro include change in the timings from 7 am to 8 pm, reduction in the passenger limit to 300, mandatory practice of social distancing norms and precautionary measures for the staff.
Tokens will be discontinued with compulsory utilization of smart cards. The trains may not halt at crowded stations and every alternate seat needs to keep vacant.
