The National Investigation Agency (NIA) went on to arrest the main accused involved in the Bengaluru riots at DJ Halli and KG Halli. The key conspirator, Sayed Saddiq Ali attacked the KG Halli police station on August 11, which caused a lot of damage and destruction to police station buildings, government property and the surrounding vehicles.
NIA investigated nearly 30 locations in DJ Halli, KG Halli and the nearby east and north parts of the city. In their probe, air guns, pellets, iron rods, digital services and DVRs and convicting documents against Popular Front of India and the Social Democratic Party of India were captured by the officials.
The riots emerged due to a defamatory Facebook post by Naveen, the nephew of Akhanda Murthy from Pulakeshinagar constituency on August 11. NIA has iterated that further investigation procedure is still going on.
